Innisfail Pride wishes to celebrate the incredible diversity of the individuals in our community. However you define yourself – gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, non-conforming, questioning, two-spirited – we are all allies who seek the freedom to love and live with dignity and pride.
Our mission is to create safe and inclusive spaces to celebrate the diversity of LGBTQ2S+ individuals in our community.
You are welcome to express yourself exactly as you are, during Pride Month and each and every day beyond. This is a safe place for anyone who feels discrimination based on sexual or gender identity.
We honour the members of our community, locally and globally, who are leaders and changemakers in the efforts towards LGBTQ2S+ safety and equality. We recognize those who struggled and sacrificed to secure our current rights, and add our voices to those who continue to demand change.
We are committed to helping the greater community broaden our knowledge of the history of and motivation for Pride. We aim to be a resource to learn more about LGBTQ2S+ experiences in the shifting cultural landscape.
We come together with joy and revelry to fete the diversity of our LGBTQ2S+ community. We celebrate the multitude of talent amongst us, and listen to the voices who tell their stories that embolden us to tell our own.
Our voluntary board is made up of local members of the LGBTQ2S+ community. Each individual brings with them the desire to bring our mission to life and help make Pride happen and Innisfail a safer more inclusive community.
