About us

Innisfail Pride wishes to celebrate the incredible diversity of the individuals in our community. However you define yourself – gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, non-conforming, questioning, two-spirited – we are all allies who seek the freedom to love and live with dignity and pride.

our history

A Recap

On June 25, 2021, we launched the first ever Innisfail Pride event. The event brought together 150 people from as far as Edmonton and Calgary. While the thermometer continued to rise above 35 degrees the temperature merely reflected the event – HOT!! The energy level and spirits of all those in attendance elevated the entire experience.

We were overwhelmed by the outpour of love and support from our community. Several businesses, organizations and volunteers rallied together assisting with the set up and take down.

This grassroots initiative was organized by three people, and we are happy to report that we now have a dozen individuals on the committee helping to create the 2022 event. As well, the 2022 event will not be limited in attendance due to COVID restriction, so to the 150+ additional people we unfortunately had to turn away in 2021 – LET’S PARTY!

You are welcome to express yourself exactly as you are, during Pride Month and each and every day beyond. This is a safe place for anyone who feels discrimination based on sexual or gender identity.

We come together with joy and revelry to fete the diversity of our 2SLGBTQA+ community. We celebrate the multitude of talent amongst us, and listen to the voices who tell their stories that embolden us to tell our own.
