The phrase “Bloom with Pride” invites us to remember our roots while also actively participating in growing our community’s future. As we celebrate the beauty of individuality and diversity, let’s embrace our authentic selves and nurture a space where everyone can flourish. Join us in celebrating love, equality, and joy!
We acknowledge the traditional lands and territories of the Indigenous peoples who have lived on these lands and taken care of them since time immemorial, and we give gratitude to the many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit who have lived in and cared for these lands for generations. Innisfail Pride Society proudly serves on the traditional and ancestral territory of Treaty 7 and the Métis Homeland. We acknowledge the Traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders, both past and present, and are grateful for their contributions that helped keep this land beautiful. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation.
“Better Together” is a phrase that signifies the idea that unity, collaboration, and support among individuals who identify as Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and other sexual orientations and gender identities can lead to a stronger and more inclusive community.
A simple statement of unity that if we look past our perceived differences, we are one and all of “Us,” consciously or not, are seeking love, safety, belonging and connection.
“Love is Love,” speaks to the ongoing struggle of 2SLGBTQ+ and the invalidation of their Love.
Love is Love means that the love expressed by an individual or couple is valid regardless of their lover or partner’s sexual orientation or gender identity.
Small Town Pride is a celebration of our 2SLGBTQ+ community. It is an opportunity for people of all ages, genders, and sexual orientations to unite and celebrate diversity, equality, and inclusivity.
